DESCRIPTION:NTA Tech Talks: Albert to Cover Truck Tech on Everything from Freightliner to VolvoEvery year\, the industry introduces new technology to trucks. Improvements are welcome but can be a bit overwhelming for shops to learn and maintain. Nebraska Trucking Association and its members Chief Carriers and Nebraska Truck Center are bringing Henry Albert of Team Run Smart to Grand Island to cover all the brands and technology.Albert will cover advanced driver assistance systems\, electronic stability control\, lane departure warning\, adaptive cruise control\, traction control and blind spot information systems. The presentation will discuss how drivers should take full advantage in utilizing these systems without the fear commonly associated with new vehicle technology. The presentation will include best practices in fuel efficiency\, performance\, and safety. "Tech Talks" will happen Friday\, Oct. 29 from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the Ramada by Wyndham Midtown\, 2503 S. Locust St.\, Grand Island. Lunch included.This is a must-attend event for everyone within the trucking organization from the CEO\, drivers\, managers and technicians! Team Run Smart is an evolution from "The Slice of Trucker Life" program that was launched in 2012 to provide owner-operators and company drivers a platform to share information and resources. No refunds requests will be honored within a 7-day period of the first day of the event.
